The EGS3125FFG is a Series G circuit breaker from Eaton. It has an EG frame and the interrupt rating of the device is 85 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and 22 kAIC at 600 Volts AC. The EGS3125FFG has 3 poles and the frame identification of the device is the EG frame. The trip type of the unit is a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip type. The maximum current rating of the circuit breaker is 125 Amps and the device has the standard line and load terminations. The device is suitable for global applications and it is certified in accordance with the UL, CSA, and IEC applications. The standard maximum operating temperature for the device is 40 degrees Celsius
The EGS3125FFG circuit breakers are current limiting due to their high repulsion contact arrangement and the use of arc extinguishing technology. The operating mechanism of the device is such that there are 3 operating positions for the switch. The indicator has the positions of on, off, and trip. The EGS3125FFG’s switch moves to the trip position when the circuit breaker trips and the users need to first turn off the switch before turning it back on because this will reset the circuit breaker and the users will then be able to operate it normally again. The switching state is indicated by means of the colors red that corresponds to the on mode, green that corresponds to the off mode, and white that corresponds to the tripped mode. This helps in identifying the state of the circuit breaker visually. The circuit breaker must be in the off position when trying to install it.
