The EGB2125FFB is a complete molded case circuit breaker from the G Series of circuit breakers manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. This circuit breaker is used in industrial environments to protect motors and similar machinery from overloads and excessive currents. During the normal operation, this device can conduct up to 125 Amps of current and it is 480 Volts AC rated. It is already equipped with the thermal-magnetic trip unit and with bolt-on terminals. The module supports versatile customer-mountable accessories. The users can add an undervoltage trip device, auxiliary switch, shunt trip device, or an alarm switch to the base unit. For a higher level of protection for the users, the interphase barriers can be installed on the input side and on the load side of the circuit breaker. The barriers are meant to be positioned in the molded slots between terminals. The installation of this kit is possible even after complete wiring is finished or when an additional part is installed.
The EGB2125FFB module is delivered in a rugged plastic housing made of recyclable materials that are good isolators which protect internal mechanisms and the users from coming in contact with dangerous voltages. When there is a reason for the EGB2125FFB to activate its protecting mechanism and to open its contacts, it will be tripped with a toggle handle positioned in the middle of the device (marked with TRIP). Look for the cause of a problem when the circuit breaker is tripped, and address it immediately. When the cause is cleared, the users can manually pull the handle little bit beyond the off position, and then all the way to the on position. After this action, the contacts of the EGB2125FFB should reclose and supply the machinery on the load side again.
