About the MT2800T

The MT2800T is a molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker belongs to Series C of the Eaton MT Type molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker features 800 Amps of current rating, 2 poles, thermal magnetic trip units, and a short-circuit pickup current that is adjustable between 3200 Amps ad 6400 Amps. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker is contained in an M-Frame enclosure. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker features a solenoid device for protecting the circuit breaker against undervoltage faults. A GFR type of ground fault protection unit, when correctly mounted on the Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker grounded electrical device, will detect phase-to-ground fault currents. The faceplate is suitable for use in the Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker when the relay is installed in a semi-flush design to close the door cutout opening.

A typical GFR Type ground fault protection system for the Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker is made up of a relay and current sensor ground faults and a disconnect component that has a shunt trip device. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker electronic trip unit features specifically modified instantaneous pickup settings to meet the code of the Federal Regulations 30 CFR 75.601-2 standards. The electromechanical trip unit features a wide range of magnetic pick-up ranges. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker is capable of opening while on a signal from a ground fault detector. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker switch is designed for systems that require a relatively sizable and high capacity disconnect. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker is equipped with accessories to provide string status, remote tripping, and on/off operation, and the circuit breaker may be easily customized to fit the site requirements. The Cutler-Hammer MT2800T circuit breaker is also applicable in protecting the wiring from overcurrents and in enabling the mechanism for isolation.
