About the MT2600T

The MT2600T is a molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker is part of Series C of the Eaton MT Type of molded case circuit breaker. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker feature a 600 Amps current rating, 2 poles, adjustable thermal magnetic trip units, overload thermal protection, and the short-circuit pickup current that is adjustable from 3000 Amps to 6000 Amps. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker is housed in an M-Frame Enclosure. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker features a GFR relay which comes with zone-selective interlocking circuitry for interlocking various relays on a single system. This enables the relay that is used to detect the ground fault and to correct the fault through the tripping of the disconnect component. The relay will instantly send a signal to the upstream relay units to block the operation completely.

The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker also features a 120 Volts AC Test Panel design for testing the ground fault applications in order to provide an indication the relay has tripped the Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker and to reset the relay after tripping. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker has a Ground Fault Warning Indicator switch that is used with the GFR relay and interlocking circuitry. The Ground Fault Indicator switch separates 120 Volts AC control power to a relay to show a ground fault when the relay pickup setting is between 30 and 50%. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker is equipped with an optional indicating ammeter that integrates to the sensor terminals via a contact pushbutton and indicates any ground fault currents that exist in the sensor. The GFR relay initiates the trip action of a disconnect component that opens the faulted circuit and eradicates the fault when the level of the fault current is higher than the required current pickup and time delay settings. The Cutler-Hammer MT2600T circuit breaker and GFR component features the UL Class I components which are modified to give protection to electrical components against the extensive damage that can come from arcing ground faults.
