The LDC3500 is a molded case circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the Eaton LDC Type Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker features cable in/cable out port, 3 poles, 500 Amps of current rating, 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC voltage ratings, 200 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and100 kAIC at 480 Volts AC current interruptions, 3 operating phases, instantaneous trip functions, and line and load side lug terminals. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker is enclosed in an L-Frame. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker is equipped with the Digitrip RMS trip unit that utilizes microprocessor-based intelligence to give real RMS sensing, enabling high levels of accuracy and sustainable system protection. True RMS sensing is not subjected to nuisance tripping during waveforms that have high harmonic currents. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker trip unit is applicable in 50/60 Hertz rated applications.
The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker’s Digitrip RMS unit comes with ground fault pickup and ground fault delay for flat responses. The circuit breaker Digitrip RMS trip unit features a long delay, hence the unit is equipped with a thermal memory to protect the system from overheating caused by the repeated overcurrent occurrences, which can occur in quick succession. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker is equipped with Arcflash Reduction Maintenance Mode (ARMS) which ensures the safety of the users by enhancing an accelerated instantaneous trip unit to minimize the arc flash. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker is also configured with an interphase barrier design for extended insulation between the circuit breaker poles, and field-mounted multi-wire connectors for load side end terminals. The field-mounted multi-wire setup is designed to distribute the load from the Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker to several components by using the same distribution terminal block. The Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker also has special terminal shields that are applicable when an electrical operator is installed in the Cutler-Hammer LDC3500 circuit breaker.
