About the LDB3450

The LDB3450 is a 3-phase thermal-magnetic Cutler-Hammer Series C circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton. Its power rating is 600 Volts AC, 250 Volts DC, and 450 Amps. It comes with complete line and load terminations and it is suitable for equipment control, reverse feed applications and short circuit protection for various industrial conductors and connected equipment in 3-phase circuits. By combining its state-of-the-art circuit protection capability and support for accessories that greatly extend its applications, the LDB3450 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker allows for hassle-free integration into new or existing circuits or protective systems. It allows for remote indication and monitoring via an optional alarm switch that provides an automatic trip indication, an auxiliary switch, and shunt trips, among other things.

The LDB3450 circuit breaker provides trouble-free operation in both AC and DC systems within its rating. It features thermal trip units and a toggle switch for closing and opening the circuit. Note that while the LDB3450 Cutler-Hammer circuit breaker automatically opens the circuit when a fault is detected, it does not automatically re-close the circuit and it must be manually closed to resume operation. Under-voltage release mechanisms that protect it against the effects of under-voltage may be incorporated into the same protective systems as the LDB3450 circuit breaker to extend its performance. Its molded case design protects internal components from certain environmental hazards but exposure to corrosive liquids, gases, or vapors may result in damage or may greatly reduce the lifespan of the LDB3450 thermal magnetic circuit breaker. It also supports the surface and enclosed mounting methods depending on user preferences.
