About the LD3450

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer LD3450 Series C Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker is a factory-assembled Frame L thermal magnetic breaker that is used for overload and short-circuits protection in a wide range of applications. Similar to most Frame L devices, the LD3450 comes with line and load terminals as standard features for simple field wiring, and it also has a 3-pole design that is suitable for both single and 3-phase applications. It has a continuous current rating of 350 Amps, with a standard interrupting current limit capacity of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and it is designed for 600 Volts AC applications. The LD3450 comes with an interchangeable trip unit made of magnetic and thermal trip elements, and it is designed to provide fast-acting trip actions.

It achieves trip actions by using electromagnets in series with a line current which provides instantaneous tripping action when the current exceeds the predetermined value, and it also uses a bimetal strip heated by a line which will deflect on a sustained overload-causing trip. The LD3450 has both load and line side copper/aluminum terminals designed to provide simple field wiring capability, and it is CSA and UL certified to meet the required breaker’s current ratings. It has an operating temperature value below 40 degrees Celsius, and it can be calibrated in the field for a higher ambient temperature to meet application needs. The LD3450 is designed to function properly at a maximum altitude of 6000 feet, and it can also be used within a non-condensing and non-corrosive humidity range of 0 to 95%. The LD3450 is CE, CSA, UL, and AS approved, and it comes with shipping dimensions of 209.6 x 273.1 x 103.1 millimeters and a net weight of 9.1 kilograms.
