About the LD2600WK

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer LD2600WK Molded Case Switch is a high-magnetic molded case switch in the Eaton Series C, Frame L family of high-performance circuit protection devices that are used in applications requiring compact high-capacity disconnect features. This device is a factory-enclosed switch with a self-protecting high-magnetic trip setting that is used as the main disconnect feature in applications like panelboards or a load center, and unlike molded case circuit breakers, the LD2600WK is designed with only a high-magnetic trip element and not a thermal one. It has 600 Amps of continuous current rating, and it is built for use in systems with a line voltage of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC.

The LD2600WK has a maximum current fault limit of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and it is self-protecting within the standard nominal rating. It comes with a 2-pole design, and it can be wired for single-phase applications. The LD2600WK’s high instantaneous non-adjustable magnetic trip unit comes with pre-set settings and it is designed to be closed to all user adjustments. The magnetic trip unit provides magnetic trip action via electromagnets that are arranged in series with a line load, which will interrupt high fault currents or currents above the preset level. Unlike molded case circuit breakers, it provides no overcurrent, overload, or low-level fault protection, and it is also designed without line or load side terminals. It has 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature limit, and it will still retain optimal functions at a maximum operating height of 6000 feet. The LD2600WK is UL, CE, and CSA approved, and it weighs approximately 8.2 kilograms (excluding the terminals).
