About the HLD3500

The HLD3500 is an Eaton C Series molded case circuit breaker. This circuit breaker is also commonly classified as an HLD type of circuit breaker. The module is a 3 pole unit running 500 Amps of current at 600 Volts AC. The complete unit comes in an LD frame and it features a thermal magnetic adjustable trip unit. The thermal-magnetic circuit breaker comes with non-interchangeable trip units and is commonly used for commercial or residential panel boards or switchboards in a motor control center and it is a busway application that is used for dependable branch circuit protection.

The HLD3500 has been carefully designed to ensure circuit protection for low voltage distribution systems and it is available for systems that have a continuous current rating of 500 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius. The Eaton HLD3500’s circuit breaker comes as a patented product with a contact design featuring high-speed blow-open action for superior performance. The HLD3500 has an option for an aluminum or copper standard pressure line or load terminal and the rated voltage is 600 Volts AC. It has a maximum frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz and it features 250 Volts DC at the maximum with an interrupt rating of 100 Kilo-Amps at 240 Volts DC. The temperature rating for the HLD3500 is 40 degrees Celsius and it comes with the UL Listed standard. The trip types for the HLD3500 are fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trips. It is one of the C Series circuit breakers that has high-speed blow open action and it also outperforms the IEEE rating.
