About the HLD2300

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HLD2300 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a Frame F factory-assembled circuit breaker with an adjustable trip unit and a high current interrupting capacity, and it is designed to provide short-circuit and overload protection to a wide range of low-voltage appliances. Like all Frame L circuit breakers, it is designed to provide 100% rating at a temperature of up to 40 degrees Celsius, and it is also rated for use with heating, air-conditioning, and refrigerating appliances. At 480 Volts AC, the HLD2300 has an interrupting capacity of 65 kAIC, and it has a nominal current rating of 300 Amps. It is designed for line voltage applications with 600 Volts AC voltage, and it comes with a 2-pole design, suitable for 1-phase wiring. It has a load and line side terminal (2TA401LDK) with a terminal cover for protection, and this terminal is connected to each pole during field wiring.

The HLD2300 has an insulated enclosure, which provides a degree of protection to the users, and it also comes with an adjustable trip unit which provides instantaneous trip action in the event of overloads. It provides thermal and magnetic trip actions by using a current-heated bimetal strip and an electromagnet in series with the current load. It also has an operating mechanism of the “quick make and break” type, which provides the operating surface for the breaker’s contact, and which also indicates the position of the breaker. The HLD2300 has approximate dimensions of 8.25 x 10.75 x 4.01 inches, with an average weight of 18 pounds, and it is CE-marked, CSA-approved, and UL-rated.
