The GHB2100 is a 2-pole, G-Frame, Series-C Cutler-Hammer thermal-magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. It has ratings of 227 to 480 Volts AC or 125 to 250 Volts DC, 100 Amps continuous current, 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 14 kAIC at 277 to 480 Volts AC, and it weighs 0.513 kilograms. It features 2 load terminals and 2 extended connectors for the lines that are directly bolted to the bus during installation. The GHB2100 circuit breaker is suitable for providing control and circuit protection for different types of equipment and resistive loads. Like other Cutler-Hammer Type GHB Series C thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, the GHB2100 thermal-magnetic breaker can be mounted vertically or horizontally on a surface panel or DIN rail, depending on the user’s needs or preferences.
It has a non-interchangeable trip and is typically used as a branch and main circuit protection for different industrial floor and field applications. Its compact design meets space-saving needs and it provides improved performance as well as integral ground protection. To ensure optimum performance, the Cutler-Hammer GHB2100 circuit breaker should be used in an environment where it will not be exposed to corrosive gases, grease, or dirt, and both the line and load terminals should be properly fastened to avoid arcing, partial contact. Failure to bolt the terminals properly could result in nuisance trips due to overheating at the load or line terminals. A joint compound should be used when the GHB2100 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is installed with aluminum conductors, and its power rating must not be exceeded.
