About the GHB2080

The GHB2080 circuit breaker is a product from the Eaton Corporation and it is part of Series C of the Eaton circuit breakers which feature the G Frame and a non-interchangeable trip unit. tHE Eaton GHB2080 molded case circuit breaker has 2 poles, 80 Amps of current, 250 Volts DC or 480 Volts AC voltage, and an interrupting rating of 65 kAIC at 240 Volts AC or one of 14 kAIC at 480Y/277 Volts AC. The GHB2080 circuit breaker has a normal interrupting capacity at up to 40 degrees Celsius, and it has the bolt-on connection type. It is suitable for reverse feed use. This circuit breaker and all of the Series C circuit breakers are available in a current range of 15 to 2500 Amps. Other products in this line of products include circuit protectors, switches, and trip breakers. These products are particularly designed and intended for use with engine generators and in DC mining applications.

The Eaton GHB2080 circuit breaker and the whole line of Eaton molded case circuit breakers can be applied in many industrial applications, for instance, in electrical and machinery OEMs, earth leakage devices, mining breakers rated at up to 1100 Volts AC, and in DC breakers rated between 125 and 750 Volts DC. They are also used in engine generator breakers rated at 15 to 1200 Amps as well as in current limiting breakers. Generally, these circuit breakers are used in feeder pillars and panelboards as the devices’ main circuit protector. They can also be used in the switchgears in the distribution systems where they provide circuit protection at up to 2500 Amps in RG Frames. In setups with low voltage circulation, there are a variety of applications for the molded case circuit breakers.
