The GHB1090 is a circuit breaker from Eaton. It is from the C Series of Eaton circuit breaker, and the frame identification of the circuit breaker is Frame G. It is UL listed and CSA certified. These circuit breakers are bolt-on panelboard circuit breakers which meet the federal specification W-C-375b. The GHB1090 has a continuous current rating of 90 Amps and it is a single-pole device. It is a thermal-magnetic circuit breaker with non-interchangeable trip units. The GHB1090 is 3 inches wide, 4 inches long, and 2.63 inches deep. The Eaton circuit breakers are designed to be used with the Eaton Power Line 2 type of panelboards and equivalent devices.
To begin the installation, first make sure that the circuit breaker is suited for the application and the voltage limits of the inputs and that the outputs are within the minimum and maximum ratings of the circuit breaker. Before installing the circuit breaker, inspect the GHB1090 for any visible damage. Then make sure the circuit breaker is in the off position before beginning the installation, and make sure that the main power supply of the system is turned off and that voltage is not present. Remove the panelboard front and then remove the line end screw which holds the wire from the bus bar. Position the circuit breaker load-end under the mounting rail. Connect the wire to the line end and secure it with the screw. Once the circuit breaker is mounted, connect the load conductors and the other accessories if there are any. Make sure that the installation is done properly before turning on the system.
