About the GDB3070

The GDB3070 is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the GDB type of molded case circuit breakers. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker features 3 poles, 3 phases, 70 Amps of current rating, 480 Volts AC, a standard interrupting capacity of 14 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and applicable in reverse feed applications. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker is contained in a Frame G enclosure. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker secures conductors from being subjected to overloads and it protects the connected devices such as motor starters and motors from short circuits. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker trip unit is able to display values of current harmonics via the digital display window. The users can monitor the percentage of harmonic content for each phase accordingly up to 27th harmonic value. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker is equipped with a toggle handle which snaps into the tripped position when the circuit breaker is tripped by an overcurrent or short circuit.

The toggle handle should be positioned beyond the reset position before the reclosing the Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker while the users are using the trip-out method. The high repulsion contact configuration and the state-of-art arc extinguishing technology characteristics of the Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker makes it capable of limiting the current to the users’ needs. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker has feeder pillars located in the distribution units to offer branch and main circuit protection. The Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker can be configured with an end cap kit which slides into the load or line conductor of the circuit breaker. The end cap kit serves as a threaded adapter for a conductor to allow other bolt-on connectors or a ring terminal to be attached. The plug nut is utilized in systems that prefer screw-connected ring-type terminals for cable connection to the Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker conductors. The plug nut is fitted into the opening of the Cutler-Hammer GDB3070 circuit breaker terminal conductor.
