The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFDE308033 is an Electronic Molded Case Circuit Breaker. This circuit breaker belongs to the C Series of compact switches, and it is designed to be used in applications needing high-current switching capabilities. This MCCB is equipped with the Digitrip RMS 310+ trip unit which is non-interchangeable. Users can install this MCCB to protect their circuitry if the maximum voltage in the circuits is not greater than 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The module is listed in accordance with the Underwriters Laboratories Standard UL 489 standards. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFDE308033 has the fast-reacting tripping unit that performs an electronic LS trip. This is a multifunctional trip unit that is equipped with an integrated Ir switch.

This Ir switch gives users the ability to modify the current rating of the circuit breaker without having to change a rating plug. In this way, there is a new space for the coordination of systems. The HFDE308033 may be used in 50 Hertz or 60 Hertz applications with a maximum current of 80 Amps. In the event of failure, this device will interrupt the current flow. The HFDE308033 has an adjustable protection setting which allows the users to effectively accommodate load changes and requirements related to current protection while still assuring optimum coordination. Its interrupting capacity is limited to 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC and to 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. The enclosure of this circuit breaker is made of plastics with dimensions of 4.13 inches (105.0 millimeters) x 6.00 inches (152.4 millimeters) x 3.38 inches (86.0 millimeters).
