The HFD3110 is a 3-pole, Series C Cutler-Hammer thermal-magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. It is rated at 110 Amps of trip current, 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC maximum voltage, 50 to 60 Hertz frequency, and its interrupting rating is 100 kIAC at 240 Volts AC, 65 kIAC at 480 Volts AC, and 22 kIAC at 250 Volts DC. The HFD3110 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker features non-interchangeable trip units, and an F-frame and it is ideal for reverse feed use as well as for branch and main circuit protection in distribution systems, busbar trunking tap-offs, and motor control center applications while providing safe equipment overload and short circuit protection, and while providing control for a variety of devices, equipment, and conductors.
The HFD3110 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker can be easily modified to better meet the needs of specific equipment and applications since it is compatible for use with the most common internal and external circuit breaker accessories. It supports the use of 1 or 2 internal accessories at a time. It is also compatible with the following accessories, an auxiliary switch for remote monitoring and accessibility, a shunt trip for remote tripping, end cap kits for the terminals, keeper nuts, a control wire terminal, as well as DIN rail adapters. The rugged build and the wide range of interrupting capacities that the HFD3110 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker has made it suitable for use in different environments. Its enclosure protects it from moisture but exposure to corrosive gases could damage its line and load terminals. Using the HFD3110 circuit breaker outside the range of its rated capacity can also result in damage.
