The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFD2050 is a Series C complete molded case circuit breaker. This MCCB can protect the users’ installations from short-circuits and overcurrents by applying its "quick-make and quick-break" operating mechanism. This mechanism is actuated by fixed thermal or a fixed magnetic trip control. This is why this device is also called a thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. It utilizes 2 different trip elements to provide circuit protection for diverse applications. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HFD2050 MCCB is rated at a current of 50 Amps (calibrated at 40 degrees Celsius). This value represents how much current this device can carry in the open air. The module has 2 poles.
Operators can use the HFD2050 for High-Intensity Discharge (HID) and for reverse feed too. It is applicable in electrical installations with a maximum voltage of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The interrupting rating for this MCCB is 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 65 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, and 25 kAIC at 600 Volts AC. It has a push-to-trip mechanism feature (the red pushbutton on the lower part of the module). Over the push-to-trip button, users can check the trip mechanism manually. This circuit breaker has terminals only on the load side. The module has an F frame. It means that its dimensions are 152 millimeters x 86 millimeters x 70 millimeters (6.0 inches x 3.4 inches x 2.8 inches). The product’s net weight is about 3 pounds (1.36 kilograms). whichever occurs first. This item is UL listed.
