The HFD2015 is a circuit protector that is manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The module is a molded case circuit breaker and it comes as a 2–pole circuit breaker. It also comes with a current rating of 15 Amps and a maximum voltage of 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. The module has an interrupt rating of 100 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 35 kAIC at 600 Volts AC, and 22 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. The HFD2015 weighs 2 pounds at shipment and it comes with the shipping dimensions of 3.6 inches in height, 5.2 inches in weight, and 7.5 inches in length. The HFD2015 circuit breaker is UL listed with the F frame size or style. Being a complete circuit breaker, the HFD2015 comes with the load side terminal with a fixed thermal trip unit and also the fixed magnetic trip unit.
The HFD2015 and all other Eaton circuit breakers are 80% rated unless they are marked and listed as 100%. In addition, it is important to note that only the electronic trip type circuit breakers come as 100% rated. The Eaton Corporation circuit breakers require the use of 75C wire to ensure proper performance and sinking. The 90C wire can only be used when using the ampacity of the 75C wires. For the tripping characteristics, the Eaton circuit breakers remain virtually constant if they are applied to the breakers with frequencies of 50 and 60 Hertz. For the higher frequency applications, the molded case circuit breakers must be calibrated or derated. The circuit breakers use terminations that are designed to provide connections to the source of power and the load for the molded case circuit breakers.
