The HFD1150 is a complete molded case circuit breaker that is manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The HFD1150 is classified under the C Series of circuit breakers and it comes with an F Frame. The module features a single pole and it has a voltage rating of either 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC. The circuit breaker comes with a current rating of 150 Amps. The frame size for the HFD1150 F Frame with an interrupt rating of 65 kAIC at 277 Volts AC. The HFD1150 comes with a long-time and with the instantaneous operation and it features the thermal magnetic protection type along with the bolt-on connection type. The HFD1150 is used for protection on industrial single-phase circuits and it features as a single-pole circuit breaker. The module comes completely packaged with the current sensors, relay, and the power supply all included with the HFD1150 itself.
The HFD1150 has 2 alarm contacts that are included with each of the modules that are manufactured by Cutler-Hammer. The HFD1150 is wired for remote indications and it comes with a toggle handle operating mechanism. The circuit breaker offers an automated reset for improving the system uptime and for eliminating the need for finding a replacement part for the module. The HFD1150 uses an inverse time-current tripping characteristic and it comes with a low-level short circuit protection. Cutler-Hammer has been a leading producer of the current limiting breakers that use a unique contact design so as to enhance the system’s protection mechanisms. Thus, in cases of a high amount of short circuits flowing through the contacts, the design of the modules helps to ensure improved current limiting.
