The FDC3225 is a Series C, F-frame molded case circuit breaker from Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The FDC3225 has three poles that can be connected to three wires and 225 Amps of current capacity. This circuit breaker constitutes FDC breakers with power connections emerging into or out of the equipment with load terminals. In other words, the ground fault circuit interrupter has a screw load terminal in order to protect the device from additional shocks by absorbing minimal imbalances. The equipment then turns off the power at its outlet as a defense mechanism. The FDC3225 is capable of interrupting the power of a massive 200,000 Amps interrupting current at 240 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz frequency), 100,000 Amps interrupting capacity at 480 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz frequency), 35,000 Amps interrupting current at 600 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz frequency) and 22,000 Amps interrupting current at 250 Volts DC.
According to the IEC-157 standards, the interrupting current capacity rating (P1) for the FDC3225 is 200,000 interrupting current capacity for 220 Volts and 240 Volts AC (50/60 Hertz frequency), 100,000 interrupting current capacity at 380 Volts AC and 415 Volts AC, 100,000 interrupting current at 440 Volts AC, 35,000 interrupting current at 500 Volts AC and 22,000 at 250 Volts DC. The interrupting current capacity of 35000 Amps at 600 Volts for the FDC3225 is only applicable to the ungrounded circuit breakers. The high-performance molded case circuit breakers offer insurmountable protection from massive electrical overvoltage or short circuits to protect all the industrial equipment connected to them. The compact size of the equipment also provides flexibility and ease of use to the consumers. The FDC3225 circuit breaker has been widely accepted and used by users across North America over more than 20 years.
