Manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer, the FDC3200 is a Series C circuit breaker rated at 200 Amps. It features a molded case, an F type frame, a thermal magnetic trip, and an operating voltage of 600 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz, or 250 Volts DC and 30 Amps at 40 degrees Celsius. The FDC3200 has an interruption rating of 200 kAIC at 240 Volts AC, 100 kAIC at 480 Volts AC, 22 kAIC at 250 Volts DC, and 35 kAIC at 500 Volts AC. Other features of the FDC3200 circuit breaker include a standard pressure load terminal, and a standard pressure line terminal. It has measurements of 4.12 x 3.375 x 6 inches. For quality requirements, the device has the UL and applicable IEC 157-1 FDC3200 approval ratings.
The FDC3200 is Eaton’s Series C NEMA F-frame molded case circuit breaker. It is designed to offer circuit protection, particularly in low voltage distribution systems. The circuit breaker is assembled as an integral unit and enclosed in a supporting housing made of an insulating material. According to the National Electrical Code (NEC), circuit breakers like the Eaton FDC3200 molded case circuit breaker are devices designed and intended for opening and closing the circuit non-automatically, as well as opening the circuit automatically when using a fixed current overload with no injury whatsoever when correctly applied within the rating. In their design, these Eaton circuit breakers protect conductors against any likely overloads as well as conductors and other connected apparatus, like motor starters and motors against short-circuits. Nevertheless, when there are low voltage distribution systems, there are many diverse applications for molded case circuit breakers.
