The FDB4125 is 1 of the highly reliable molded case circuit breakers designed and manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The circuit breaker is designed to offer circuit protection to circuits that are operated with a voltage not exceeding 680 Volts AC. Additionally, the FDB4125 is to be used in a circuit with a rated current of 125 Amps running through it. The circuit breaker uses a thermal magnetic trip mechanism in its non-interchangeable trip unit. The tripping mechanism supports long-time and Instantaneous trip functions. These functions improve the accuracy of the FDB4125 in protecting a circuit. The Westinghouse FDB4125 is best suited for a 3-phase powered circuit and by having an F Frame size, the circuit breaker is HACR-rated.
The FDB4125 contains terminals on the load side only and it is part of the Series C family of circuit breakers from the Eaton Corporation. The circuit breaker has a standard interrupting capacity of 14 kAIC at 600 Volts AC at a minimum frequency of 50 Hertz and at a maximum of 60 Hertz. The FDB4125 accommodates a bolt-on connection and it can be mounted on a panelboard. The Westinghouse FDB4125 uses a molded case which is moisture resistant and prevents the growth of fungus. Special treatment for the internal components is required if the circuit breaker is going to be used in an environment that is prone to moisture and fungus growth. The FDB4125, as with other molded case circuit breakers from Eaton, is carefully manufactured to conform to the NEMA, CSA, and the UL standards.
