The FDB3110 is a 3-pole Type FDB Thermal Magnetic Cutler-Hammer Circuit Breaker manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. This breaker is a member of the Series-C F-Frame family of Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers and it is rated 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC maximum operating voltage, a 110 Amps trip rating, 3-phase operation, and an operating frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. It is suitable for reverse feed use and it can provide high-performance short, overcurrent, and overload protection for a wide variety of equipment for different applications. Terminals are available on the load end of the FDB3110 circuit breaker and it features non-interchangeable trip units. Its switch handle both serves as the switching mechanism and operation status indicator (on or off) and the rugged build of its enclosure provides adequate insulation for its components and protects it from moisture and sunlight.
The protective components of the FDB3110 circuit breaker come with a predetermined trip rating and the circuit breaker supports the use of armored and non-armored cables for its installation. Accessories such as alarm switches, auxiliary switches, shunt trip, ground fault trip, and others can be easily integrated into the FDB3110 circuit breaker to increase its performance. The integral switch serves as its operating mechanism as well as its operating status indicator. After a trip out due to overcurrent, the thermal magnetic element on board the FDB3110 circuit breaker takes a short time to cool down before the operator can close the circuit again. Failing to fasten the terminals on the FDB3110 circuit breaker properly can result in arcing, which can reduce the breaker’s performance, damage it, or result in injury.
