The FD4175 is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the Eaton Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker features 4 poles, 175 trip Amps, and 35 kAIC of interrupting capacity at 277 Volts, and it is contained in an F-Frame. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is equipped with a terminal shield used in line terminal locations and it can also be installed with special terminal shields when a solenoid operator is mounted on the Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is configured with an endcap kit that is used to connect the bus bar, hardware, or to make similar electrical connections. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is suitable for reverse feed applications.
The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker uses copper or aluminum terminals as the standard configuration and it uses copper-only terminals as an optional configuration. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is entirely self-contained since the current sensor, relay, and power supply are found inside the module. Time delays are designed to be selectable by the users from instantaneous -1 seconds for 0.10-Amps current settings or higher. The Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is equipped with 2 alarm contacts, a 50% pre-trip setting, and a 100% after-trip setting which are based only on earth leakage current levels. The alarm switches operate when the Cutler-Hammer FD4175 circuit breaker is tripped by a short circuit or overcurrent.
