The FD4125 is a thermal magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker is part of Series C of the Eaton Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker features 4 poles, 125 trip Amps, 18 kAIC of interruption rating at 600 Volts AC maximum interrupting rating and a high level of reliability for HID (High-Intensity Discharge) applications. The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker is designed to give circuit protection for low-voltage distribution systems that are a component for closing and interrupting a circuit between separable contacts when in normal and abnormal conditions.
The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker is equipped with a shunt trip which is used for remote tripping. The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker cannot be closed until the under-voltage release is energized. If the undervoltage release is not energized, the Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker can only do an idle switching operation. The user should avoid many idle switching actions because they shorten the sustainability of the Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker. The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker is configured with a rotary handle mechanism which entails a handle “lock off” to prevent turning the circuit breaker on while it is in the off position. The Cutler-Hammer FD4125 circuit breaker protects conductors against overloads and the connected devices such as motors and motors starters against short circuits.
