The FD2035 is a 2-pole Cutler-Hammer circuit breaker manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. It has a rating of 35 trip Amps and an operating voltage of 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC, and it has an interrupting capacity of 35 kAIC at 480 Volts AC. It is a part of the Series C class of Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers and it has an F Frame. It features built-in thermal-magnetic trip units and it is used for delivering high-performance overload and short circuit protection on single-phase circuits. The FD2035 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is operated via a toggle switch and it supports flange-mounted, direct, and through-the-door handle mechanisms for providing safer operation and greater flexibility in applications. Terminations are pre-installed on the load end of the breaker from the factory.
All internal components of the FD2035 circuit breaker are housed in a molded case that is built from high-quality materials to allow for it to operate in different environments. It has a push-to-trip button right below the switch that is easily accessible with a screwdriver. Three states of operation are available on the FD2035 breaker. The color strip right above and below the switch indicates that the breaker is on by displaying red, off by displaying green, and that it is tripped by displaying white. The FD2035 circuit breaker is designed to provide years of almost maintenance-free operation, but using it on circuits or equipment that exceed its rating can potentially result in arcing at its terminals, in nuisance trips, or in injury to personnel. To determine if this circuit breaker is suitable for an application, the users should compare its rating to the information on the nameplate of the equipment that they intend to use it on.
