About the FD2030

The FD2030 is an Eaton Cutler-Hammer C Series molded case circuit breaker that has been designed to offer circuit protection for the low-voltage distribution systems. According to NEMA, the C Series circuit breakers are defined as devices that close and interrupt circuits between separable contacts in usual and unusual conditions. The FD2030 has been designed specially to offer protection against overloads in the conductors and offer protection against the short circuits in the connected applications that include the motors and also the motor starters. Ideally, the FD2030 is commonly found in control panels, combination starters, motor control centers, switchboards, and also panel boards.

The FD2030 comes with the F Frame type and it is a 2-pole circuit breaker with a maximum current rating of 600 Volts AC and 250 Volts DC. It features a current rating of 30 Amps. The FD2030 comes with a toggle handle operating mechanism. The toggle handle serves as a switching position indicator and the toggle shows different circuit breaker states that include the ON, OFF, and the TRIPPED states. Ideally, the toggle handle will snap into the tripped position if the breaker senses an overcurrent, a short circuit, a shunt, or an undervoltage situation. The FD2030 is suitable for the high-intensity discharge use and it is also suitable for reverse feed use as well. The module comes with a Kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacity (kAIC) that is different at different ranges. The specific kAIC ratings include a kAIC of 65 at 220 and 240 Volts AC, 35kAIC at 380 Volts AC, and 10 kAIC at 250 Volts DC. The shipping dimensions for the FD2030 are 3.6 x 5.2 x 7.5 inches.
